Traveler's Notebook - Tokyo Station Edition

I've been using the regular size Traveler's Notebooks (on and off) for approximately 3 years now. I started with a knock-off regular size TN, back when they were still known as Midori Traveler's Notebook (so I would have had a #fauxdori!). I got it off Aliexpress and it came with a lot of accessories and inserts. To be frank, the quality of this TN is pretty good. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to start out with TNs but balk at the price point.

This year, I got the Tokyo Station edition as a present. This is my first genuine TN. It may be my last, simply because I think the ability to switch inserts as needed eliminates the need for another TN. I will admit, I don't see a huge upgrade in terms of quality, but I love the gold design on the front.

Trains are a rather romantic method of travelling. In theory. Until you’ve commuted everyday on the train to school, grumpy and sleep-deprived. Until you’ve lived through the hell of being on a train for 5 days straight in the budget section with seats that couldn't recline. Until you went on a beautiful scenic train ride to Mt. Fuji - okay, that one was pretty nice.

Trains and I have a long, complicated history, but I remain fond.
